On 26 November 2024, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes near the Kuwaiti Embassy - Sultan Ibrahim Nazlet, in front of the Centro Mall, and another on a building of the Al Qard Al Hassan Association (affiliated to Hezbollah) in Beirut - Zokak El Blat (Beirut, Beirut). In the evening, Israeli warplanes dropped thermal balloons over government buildings (Saray). Casualties unknown. This event is part of what the Israeli army called its 'new phase' of its war on Gaza, amid hostilities against Hezbollah. The Israeli army claimed that its fighter jets had struck over 180 Hezbollah targets across Lebanon today, including Hezbollah vaults, branches of the Al Qard Al Hassan association, and a branch of the al-Insaf foreign exchange company in Beirut.
