A military council bombed a village in Taungkot district with a jet fighter, killing 2 people fleeing the war and injuring about 20 people. 

December 2/2024 Rakhine State It was reported that the Air Force of the Terrorist Military Council bombed a village in Taung Kot Township, killing 2 refugees and injuring 20 others. The deceased are Maung Kyaw Thet Naing, 18 years old, from Taung Kok City's new hospital ward, and Daw Ma Thein, 72 years old, from Thayar Aye Village.

A Taungkot local man told Niransari that a jet fighter bombed a village in Taungkot Township, District yesterday at around 4:00 p.m., resulting in injuries to the villagers, including 2 deserters. "There was no fighting. When the locals were calm in the village, a jet fighter came and killed them. Two people who fled the war nearby were killed instantly," he said.

Another local man told Niryansari that 4 bombs exploded in and around the village of the district, causing many houses to be destroyed and the residents of the village fleeing. "Almost all the homes were destroyed. The villagers no longer dare to stay. They are all fleeing," he said.

From November 1 to 21 (21), 49 people were killed in the whole of Myanmar as a result of the military council, and among them, the number of people who died in Rakhine was the highest, according to a November 22 announcement by the Association for the Assistance of Prisoners (AAPP).
