On Friday, the Syrian opposition factions took control of the strategic city of Saraqib, east of Idlib, after clashes with the Syrian regime forces as part of the "Deterrence of Aggression" battle.

The factions within the "Military Operations Department" said: "The enemy is withdrawing from the city of Saraqib under the strikes of our forces after violent clashes with it inside the city."

The regime forces had taken control of Saraqib in early 2020, after launching a military operation with Russian support in 2019, through which they took control of large areas in the countryside of Idlib, Aleppo and Hama, including strategic cities such as Saraqib, Khan Sheikhoun and Maarat al-Numan. #Deterrence_of_Aggression #Marib_Press
