At least 10 Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres were killed in an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) in the jungles of Korajuguda, Dantewada, Nagaram, and Bhandarpadar in Sukma District in the Bastar division of Chhattisgarh on November 22 (today), reports jharkhandstatenews.com. Inspector General of Police (IGP), Bastar Range, Sunderaj P, said that the District Reserve Guard (DRG) team and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were part of the operation. "The forces had received intelligence about the presence of Maoists in the area. We are yet to identify the bodies of the Maoists recovered," said the IGP, adding, "More details are awaited as the team is still in the jungle." The teams have recovered several weapons, including INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) assault rifles, AK-47 rifles, and Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) rifles.
