A convoy of Security Forces (SFs) was attacked in the Ispelanji area of Mastung District in Balochistan on November 20, reports The Balochistan Post. The convoy was reportedly targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED), followed by rocket fire and sustained gunfire. The Balochistan Post quoting said the attack caused losses to Pakistani SFs, but no official statement has been released regarding casualties or the extent of the damage. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. However, the region has seen frequent attacks on SF by Baloch ‘pro-independence’ insurgent groups in the past.
