On November 17, a cache of arms and ammunition, including six rusted hand grenades from the Banani Defence Officers Housing Society (DOHS) area under Dhaka Cantonment Police Station, reports Prothom Alo. The media and public relations wing of the DMP reported that six old hand grenades, 9 magazines, and 726 bullets were found abandoned on the paved road on the west side of the lake bank, near road number 5 of Banani DOHS. The items were later defused by the police's Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit.
