On 11 November 2024, in Shan Te village (Meiktila township, Meiktila district, Mandalay region), a combined force of local defense forces attacked the Myanmar military's Shan Te airbase, the LID-99 headquarters, and the defense industry (KaPaSa) using bombs attached to 24 drones and rockets at about 4:30 am. The combined force includes the People's Defense Force - Meiktila, the People's Defense Force - Meiktila District (battalion 3), the Meiktila District Drone Force, the Sagaing District Drone Force, the People's Defense Force - Myingyan District (battalion 8), and allied forces. The combined force claimed that two Y-12 aircraft were damaged, and 6 military troops, including 2 officers, sustained injuries. The attack was carried out under the Shwe Lin Yone Drone special operation.
