On 11 November 2024, Russian forces dropped KAB aerial bombs, carried out FPV-kamikaze drone strikes, dropped drone-borne explosives and shelled unidentified targets in Zhuravka, Sumy, with 120mm mortars, 122mm barrel artillery and suspected tank or IFV. Also, Russian operational-tactical aviation and missile forces hit Ukrainian military positions and territorial defense units near Zhuravka. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost 5 tanks, 4 IFVs, 1 APC, 3 AFVs, 4 towed-artillery, 2 mortars, 1 counter-battery radar station, 1 armored recovery vehicle, 8 cars/vehicles and more than 300 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Basivka, Bilovody, Zhuravka, Veselivka, Vodolahy, Hlukhiv, Pavlivka and Khotin. [Russian MoD reported 300 fatalities. Coded as 10 fatalities split across 8 events. 1 fatality coded to this event].
