On 11 November 2024, at an unspecified time, Houthi forces claimed to have fired an unspecified number of drones and cruise missiles targeting the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea (coded to West Arabian Sea), claiming they targeted US forces while they were preparing to strike targets in Yemen. The Houthis claimed that the attack lasted 8 hours and was 'successful', while US authorities stated that they were unaware of any attack targeting the aircraft carrier. The Houthis claimed a separate attack targeting two other US ships in the Strait of Bab el Mandab on the same day (coded separately).
