On November 10, security forces (SFs) conducted search operations in Utangpokpi Hill area in Kakching District of Manipur and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, reports India TodayNE. The recovered items included four 12-bore single-barrel rifles, one 7.62 mm locally manufactured rifle, one .303 rifle, three country-made 'Pompi' firearms, one country-made lathode gun, two AK-47 magazines, 40 live rounds of ammunition,three improvised explosive devices (IEDs), two communication handsets, two country-made 9mm pistols complete with a magazine, a .22 rifle with a magazine, a locally crafted launcher known as a Pompi, a .36 high-explosive (HE) grenade, six live rounds of ammunition, 27 empty shell casings, along with one Lathode empty case, two smoke grenades, five tear gas shells, a Baofeng communication handset, a pistol holster, and two bulletproof (BP) jackets, BP plate and a pair of jungle boots.|
