On 26 October 2024, in Yae Pu village of Nyaungshwe township (Taunggyi district, Shan-South state), the Myanmar military carried out a drone strike and dropped a bomb in the morning, injuring members of the Inle People's Defense Force (IPDF) stationed in the village and destroying a motorcycle. During a second attempt, the military's drone was shot down by the IPDF.
