On 3 November 2024, in Ah Pyin Pa Dan village of Hlaingtharya-West township (Yangon district, Yangon region), the Mission R Yangon Urban Guerrilla carried out a remote explosive attack on the 'Kant Kaw Myaing' gas stove shop at around 5:30 am. The explosion killed a 10-household head and injured a hundred-house head and the brother of a military officer. Two vehicles parked in front of the shop were also destroyed. The Mission R Yangon Urban Guerrilla claimed that the shop was owned by a military major from Shan Te airbase (Meiktila) and the attack was carried out as a warning to airforce personnel to stop their bombing campaigns against people.
