On 8 November 2024, Russian forces dropped a KAB-type aerial bomb at unidentified targets in Krasnopillia, Sumy. As a result of the explosion, 4 civilians were wounded, 1 private house was completely destroyed, in addition to 25 private houses, 4 administrative buildings, 3 educational institutions, 3 commercial premises, 4 apartment buildings and 7 cars were damaged. In another instance, later that day, during the rescue operation of the previous shelling, Russian forces dropped a KAB-type bomb near the emergency workers wounding several of them.
