On 27 October 2024, in Ban La Mut village of Tanintharyi township (Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), a Myanmar military column of 100 soldiers from LID-556, providing security for a ration transport convoy, was ambushed twice with remote explosives by the People's Defense Forces, once at 11 am. and again at 2 pm. In the morning attack, at least four soldiers were reported injured, while no injuries were reported in the afternoon incident.
