On 31 October 2024, in Ban Mat village (Pinlaung township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), the Myanmar military force conducted drone strikes by dropping two bombs on the village at around 9 am. DVB and RFA reported that the drone strikes killed a local civilian and injured nine others. VOA and the Shan Herald Agency for News reported that 2 civilians including a child died and nine others were injured. Fatalities coded as 1, using the lowest estimate.
