On 1 November 2024, three Taliban members were killed and four others were wounded following an attack (likely conducted using remote explosives, as shown in the video from AFF) by Afghanistan Freedom Front militants targeting the Taliban's police and intelligence forces convoy, who were conducting a house-to-house inspection, near Saray-e-Shamali in PD17 of Kabul city. AFF claimed that following their attack on Kabul Airport (coded separately), the Taliban had intensified house searches in Kabul.
