Manipur Police announced on X that Police arrested eight United National Liberation Front – Pambei faction (UNLF-P) cadres, identified as Laishram Atangba Meitei alias Ningthoujao (24), Leishangthem Nongpok Meitei alias Singajit (26), Thongam Khangakpa Meitei alias Jatra (45), Thiyam Ningthou Meitei alias Ingocha (46), Akoijam Thoupangba Meitei alias Thoiba (24), Thounaojam Sugnu Ngakpa alias Yaiphaba Meitei (26), Ngasepam Nongthouba Meitei alias Romio (40) and Sorokhaibam Nganba alias Dayananda Singh (27), from Thoubal District of Manipur on October 28. Police recovered three AK 47 Rifles, two AK 56 Rifles, one M-16 Rifle, one 9mm Pistol, 147 AK 47 live round ammunition, 20 M-16 live round ammunition, 25 9 mm live round ammunition, 16 mobile handsets and one Fortuner SUV (without regn. No.). They were indulging in illegal activities by threatening with illegal sophisticated arms and restraining the legal land demarcation process at Thoubal District.
