SAA event in Jharkhand, Mahudand, Palamu District area, India on Sun 27th October 2024

Security Forces (SFs) recovered a huge cache of weapons hidden by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) during an anti-Naxal [Left Wing Extremism, LWE] operation in the forest area near Mahudand village under Hussainabad Police Station limits in Palamu District of Jharkhand on October 27, reports prabhatkhabar.com. During the search, weapons buried in the ground on the Jardeva Hill of Naso Jamalpur were recovered. The Police recovered a double-barreled gun and two live bullets from the spot. According to Palamu Police, the recovered weapons were hidden by Maoist ‘commander’ Nitesh Yadav, who has a reward of INR 1.5 million on his head, Sanjay Yadav, who has a reward of INR 1 million on his head, and Thegan Miyan. The Police lodged a First Information Report (FIR) under sections of the Arms Act and the 17 Criminal Law Amendment (CLA) Act against Maoist ‘commander’ Nitesh Yadav, Sanjay Godram, and many other Naxalites.
