Four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near their vehicle at the roadside in the Mandhy Tuk area of Duki District in Balochistan on October 26, reports Dawn. “Four FC soldiers were injured in the blast,” an unnamed senior security official said, adding that they were patrolling for the security of trucks carrying coal to Punjab from Duki coal fields. The injured personnel were identified as Naib Subedar Akhtar, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar, Sepoy Saqib, and Sepoy Tahzeeb, reports The Balochistan Post. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the IED attack. According to a statement by BLA ‘spokesperson’ Jeeyand Baloch, the attack targeted a military vehicle, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers and injuries to four others.
