At least eight people, including four Policemen and two soldiers, were killed while several others sustained injuries in a suicide bomb blast at a joint checkpoint of Police and Security Forces (SFs) in the Eidak area of Mir Ali tehsil (revenue unit) in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on October 26, reports Dawn. The attack took place when personnel were inspecting vehicles, Security officials said, adding that the suicide bomber, travelling in a rickshaw, blew himself up at the Aslam checkpoint. “Four policemen, two security personnel and two civilians have been martyred,” an unnamed official said. Earlier, it was reported that five SFs personnel, including four Policemen and one Soldier, were killed.
