Iranian media have reported that following an armed robbery of one of the country's Melli Bank branches in Zahedan city, the capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province, two people were injured as a result of the bank security guard shooting at the robbers. According to IRNA, armed robbers who were riding motorcycles robbed this bank in Zahedan today (Wednesday, 9 Aqrab). According to the report of this media, the thieves managed to take around 150 million Rials with them. This media has added that the people who were injured by the shooting of the bank guard have been taken to medical centers. The Iranian police said that they are investigating the robbery of this bank. Iran's Sistan and Baluchistan, which borders Afghanistan and Pakistan, has recently witnessed an increase in insecurity. Not long ago, 10 policemen were killed as a result of an attack on a patrol of Iranian police forces in this province.
