On 26 August 2019, the Islamic State in Yemen claimed to have ambushed an AQAP vehicle on the road linking Sarar (Wald Rabi, Al Qayda) to Az Zub (Al Quraishyah, Al Bayda) in Qayfa, located 5 km from each other, with an IED. No fatalities nor injuries were reported.
