On 21 October 2024, in Mway Ta Laing village (Madaya township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes on the village using Mi-35 gunships and a fighter jet from Tada-U air base at around 4 pm. A 28-year-old woman and her one-year-old son were killed, and at least 4 others sustained injuries.
