On 21 October 2024, in Oke Kan village (Kawlin township, Kawlin district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military launched three airstrikes and dropped five bombs on the village using a fighter jet at 10:20 am, at 10:43 am and at 11 am without an armed clash occurring. Several houses were also damaged. DVB reported that at least 3 civilians were killed, and at least 10 others sustained severe injuries. Khit Thit Media reported that 3 civilians were killed, and 7 others were injured. VOA and Mizzima reported that 2 women were killed, and 8 others were injured. RFA reported that 2 women were killed, and at least 9 others were injured. Fatalities coded as 2, using the lowest estimate.
