On 23 October 2024, ENDF was accused of conducting a drone strike in Zendogur kebele in Basona Werena wereda (location coded to the nearest admin center Debre Birhan, Debre Berhan town, North Shewa, Amhara). The strike targeted the private house of one Fano leadership member and Zendogur primary school. The strike destroyed the home of the Fano leadership member and partially damaged the school. There were no fatalities.
