On 24 October 2024, two Taliban members of the 5th Battalion of the 2nd Border Brigade of the Omari Corps were killed and three were wounded after NRF fired a rocket on a checkpoint at the Faizabad airfield in Faiz Abad city, Badakhshan. No casualties from NRF.
