Israeli occupation aircraft targeted several airstrikes on sites of Assad's militia and the Iranian militias supporting it in Sweida.
The pro-regime SANA news agency quoted a military source from Assad's militia as saying: At around 02:00 this morning, the Israeli occupation launched an air attack with barrages of missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan and Lebanese territories, targeting some military sites in the southern and central regions.
The Israeli raids targeted the “Tal al-Qalib” radar point belonging to the Assad militia southeast of the city of Sweida.
Informed sources confirmed that the airstrikes on the 19th Regiment led to the complete destruction of all S-200 air defense systems, estimated at four, in addition to the killing and wounding of 11 militia members and the outbreak of large fires that lasted for about an hour before they were extinguished.
The Israeli air strikes on the air defense systems of the Assad militia in Homs and Sweida coincided with the Israeli occupation army’s announcement of carrying out strikes on several sites in Iran, as part of the response to the Iranian attack on Israel in early October with more than 250 missiles.
