🇧🇫 Deadly Week at #BurkinaFaso | The weekend of October 5-6, 2024 was marked by a series of deadly attacks in several cities and towns across the country, including #Djibo , #Bogandé and #Manni . The Armed Terrorist Groups ( #GAT ), especially the #JNIM , left behind scenes of desolation, with dozens of dead and wounded. Several videos circulating on social media show the scale of the tragedy.

🔴 Bogandé: On October 5, an ambush cost the lives of at least 17 soldiers of #BIR19 . The #JNIM claimed responsibility for the attack and displayed seized weapons of war, including #LRAC , #PKMS and several motorcycles.

🔴 Manni: On October 6, the Manni market was the target of a brutal attack. Dozens of terrorists set fire to the market, killing and wounding several civilians. The local hospital is overwhelmed by the wounded.

🔴 Djibo: The commune was also shaken by a major attack on October 4, with the #JNIM claiming to have taken control of several military points.

The security situation in Burkina Faso continues to deteriorate.
