According to a press release from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on October 22, police recovered various firearms and ammunition in Wari, Airport, Rupnagar, and Shahjahanpur, destroyed an abandoned grenade in Gazipur, and defused two kilograms of explosives in Jessore, reports Prothom Alo. According to the notification, Police recovered various types of firearms and ammunition in multiple locations: 111 revolver bullets, 6 shotgun bullets, and 2 long-range tear gas shells from Tipu Sultan Road in Old Dhaka; 13 lead cartridges and 4 rubber cartridges from a garbage pile near a mosque on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway; and a part of a Chinese rifle in the Rupnagar residential area of Mirpur on October 21. Shahjahanpur police found an abandoned pistol under the Rajarbagh-Malibagh highway after receiving a tip via the National Emergency Service Number 999, while an old grenade was recovered near Arshi Nagar Resort in Gazipur and later destroyed by the Police's Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC). Additionally, about 2 kilograms of high explosives were recovered by Monirampur police in Jessore and were defused by the CTTC's bomb disposal team following a court order on the same day.
