Police arrested one Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre, Kosaiah, an action committee member (ACM), and recovered a tiffin box stuffed with explosives in Bhadradri-Kothagudem District of Telangana on October 14, reports The Times of India. The three Maoist cadres had started from Mallampeta in Chhattisgarh and were heading towards Cherla, but were intercepted at Lenin Colony. While two managed to escape, Kosaiah was arrested. He allegedly claimed that the explosives were meant to plant landmines to target Policemen.
