Syria's state-run SANA news agency, citing a military source, says a soldier was killed and seven others were wounded in Israeli airstrikes early this morning.

The report says two sites were struck in the Kafr Sousa neighborhood of the capital Damascus, and another military site was hit in the Homs area.

The strikes also caused "material damage," SANA adds.
