On 11 October 2024, in Hsipaw town (Hsipaw township, Kyaukme district, Shan-North state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes by dropping nearly 40 bombs near the IB-23 base using a Y-12 aircraft from around 6:30 am until 7:30 am. On the same day, the military launched airstrikes by dropping another 40 bombs near the base from around 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm. The military from Nam Lan town also fired over 10 artillery rounds near the base. Casualties unknown.
