On 12 October 2024, in Inn Lel Gyi village (Kanbalu township, Kanbalu district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military (No.6006 artillery battalion) and Pyu Saw Htee launched a drone strike and dropped six bombs on the village at about 1 am without an armed clash occurring. A house was also damaged. The DVB reported that 4 civilians, including two children, were killed, and 4 others sustained injuries, while Radio Free Asia, MPA, Shwe Phee Myay News Agency and Khit Thit Media reported that 3 civilians were killed, and 7 others sustained injuries. Fatalities coded as 3 using the lowest estimate.
