On 14 October 2024, Turkish army forces conducted shelling against PKK positions in the Gire Orte area (Al Amadiya, Duhok). HPG (PKK) claimed that Turkish forces used chemical gases and banned explosives during the shelling, but other sources did not confirm this. Casualties unknown.
