On 15 October 2024, in Kha Paung Kyaing village (Taze township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike and dropped bombs around 11 pm for the first day without an armed clash occurring. Some locals were injured. A clinic and monastery were also destroyed. 2 locals were injured on 15 and 16 October.
