On 15 October 2024, at an unspecified time, US forces conducted 4 airstrikes targeting Houthi sites in Alluheyah district (coded to district center Al Luhayyah) (Al Hudaydah). Casualties unknown. CENTCOM published a report on 16 October stating that US forces conducted an unspecified number of airstrikes targeting underground Houthi weapons storage facilities in Houthi-controlled Yemeni territories to degrade their ability to target commercial and military ships in the Red Sea. They did not specify the exact date of the airstrikes. CENTCOM also claimed to have used B-2 Spirit long-range stealth bombers to launch at least some of the airstrikes, for the first time in Yemen.
