On October 21, the Sever group of forces continued to carry out tasks to liberate the border areas of the Kursk region. The northerners are pushing the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk borderland with heavy fighting. The enemy is pulling in new reserves and counterattacking with large forces. Over the past 24 hours, 2 counterattacks have been repelled in the area of the settlements of Zeleny Shlyakh and Obukhovka with a total of up to 80 people in 4 infantry fighting vehicles supported by 2 tanks. The enemy's losses amounted to 50 people in manpower, an infantry fighting vehicle and a tank. The enemy has transferred special forces to the area of active combat operations to identify the positions of the Russian Armed Forces and weak points in the defense, and is using a large amount of artillery. During the counter-battery battle, the Caesar and Gvozdika self-propelled guns, as well as 2 UAV control points, have been destroyed.
