On 09 October, 2019, Turkish warplanes carried out airstrikes on Quamishli city and its surrounding areas in eastern al-Hasakeh countryside amid Turkish artillery fire, impacting several neighborhoods including Qanat al Suways and Bashiriyeh. As a result, 1 civilian was killed and several others were wounded. No fatalities were reported.
