Foresters of the Kyiv Forestry Office continue to extinguish fires in the Kyiv region that occurred as a result of a rocket attack on the night of 30 September.
This was reported in Telegram by the State Enterprise ‘Forests of Ukraine’, Ukrinform reports.
‘The enemy has once again launched a massive attack on Ukrainian regions and the capital, using missiles and attack drones. Foresters of the Kyiv Forestry Office continue to deal with the consequences of the rocket attack that occurred on the night of 30 September,’ the statement said.
According to the state-owned enterprise, as of 7 a.m., 7 fires were contained on a total area of 1.25 hectares in the Vyshedubechansky branch of the State Enterprise ‘Forests of Ukraine’. At 10 am, a new fire was extinguished on an area of 1.1 hectares.
The fires were extinguished using 23 employees and 11 units of special equipment, including fire modules and tractors with ploughs. Along with extinguishing active fires, foresters are constantly patrolling the territory. New ignition points are being identified that could be caused by smouldering debris or sparks carried by the wind.
