On 19 August, 2019, Syrian and Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on Ma'arrat An Nu'man and its vicinity in southern Idleb countryside as the Turkish convoy was present in the city. The airstrikes killed 1 al Sham Corps fighter escorting the Turkish convoy and wounded 2 others. The airstrikes on the city's southern vicinity killed 2 civilians. Total fatalities coded to 3.
