Five activists of Jatiotabadi Chatra Dal (JCD) were injured after cadres of Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) allegedly attacked them on the Chittagong Government College compound on September 26, reports The Daily Star. According to JCD and police sources, when JCD activist Ashraf Uddin, a student of the sociology department, went to the college campus around 12:00 pm, some ICS cadres waylaid him and started beating him. The College unit JCD convener, Safrash Nuri Sizzhi, said, "the Shibir men attacked us with sharp weapons, iron rods, and sticks. They also exploded two crude bombs on the campus, creating a panic situation."
