On September 16, Security Forces (SFs) conducted intensive search operations and area domination exercises which led to the recovery of a cache of weapons and communication equipment in Chanung and C Zoulen village, in Imphal East District of Manipur, reports India TodayNE. SFs seized a locally-made single-barrel firearm, a Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) magazine, 21 rounds of live ammunition, a pompi (locally made mortar), and a "BAOFENG" radio set sans battery.
