On September 15, a combined team comprising the Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and 39 Assam Rifles conducted a search operation and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including one .32 pistol, two magazines, 11 live rounds of 7.62×51 mm, two live rounds of 5.56×45 mm, three live rounds of 7.62×39 mm, 16 Pompi bombs, 560 empty cases of 12 bore ammunition, 11 live rounds of 12 bore with an ammunition belt, 18 empty cases of 8 mm, and 105 empty cases of .303 calibre at Mongbung Meitei and Mongbung Kuki villages in Jiribam District of Manipur, reports Northeast Today.
