Four Security Forces (SFs) personnel were killed and three other personnel sustained injuries when Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) launched an assault on the military headquarters in main bazaar of Awaran town (Awaran District) in Balochistan on September 14, reports The Balochistan Post. In a media statement, BLF ‘spokesperson’ Major Gwahram Baloch claimed responsibility of the attack. Major Gwahram Baloch claimed that high-ranking military officers, including Brigadier Hassan Mehdi, Deputy Commandant Ghazanfar Ali, and Wing Commander Colonel Adeel, were present at the headquarters during the attack. He said the officers were playing cricket with their troops when the fighters launched the assault.
