A Policeman, identified as Nur Alam, a resident of the Kamchashmi area of Domail tehsil (revenue unit), guarding polio team was shot dead by unidentified terrorists near a migrant camp in Bannu town (Bannu District) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 11, reports ARY News. More than 100 Police personnel who provide security for polio vaccination teams in Bannu District went on strike after the killing. Police officers who are routinely deployed to protect polio workers going door-to-door frequently come under attack by militants waging a war against Security Forces.
