17th September 2024
Russian mines of a new model, similar to anti-personnel "Petals", were found by the Ukrainian military in the territory of Kharkiv region.
According OTU "Kharkiv" , the Russians print the casings for such mines on a 3D printer, inside there is a detonator and a plastid charge. It is not yet known who exactly produces such mines and in what quantity.
In the meantime, pyrotechnicians continue to remove mines in the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv Oblast. According to the State Emergency Service , pyrotechnicians from Odesa are currently clearing Kamianka in the Izyum Oblast of Pelyustka anti-personnel mines. For several months at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the occupiers mined this village, including remotely.
According to the sappers, the difficulty of the work is that these mines are difficult to see under layers of leaves and thickets of grass due to the color of "Petal" - green or brown.
Over the past day, pyrotechnicians of the State Emergency Service have removed and defused 77 explosive objects in Kharkiv Oblast.
