The position of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) in Siguidine, a village located in the commune of Djado, was attacked by armed individuals on the night of Friday May 3 to Saturday May 4, 2024. Several material damages are to be deplored, according to information not yet official.

According to our sources, the attackers took up positions near the market, facing the SDF positions, before continuing their action. The attack, involving about six vehicles, caused material damage, including the destruction of at least one vehicle and several hangars belonging to the SDF. Weapons were reportedly taken away. No official report on the attack is currently available.

Our sources report that after the attack, the assailants headed east, towards the south of Dao Timi. This direction suggests a possible retreat to a neighboring country.
