#Mali After #Tinzawaten , the commotion continues, revenge is being prepared. The Malian junta has still not turned the page on its humiliating defeat in northern Mali, which it uses as the basis of its policy of reconquering the territory and the pretext for maintaining its power. Establishing itself in this strategic region, which is the living symbol of resistance to the regime and the partition of the country, is of major importance to the band of colonels. So, all forces are thrown into the battle to gain legitimacy and gain popular support. Especially since, after the historic debacle of Tinzawaten, the people doubt the rise of the much-vaunted Army and the overrated capacity of the military to regain full sovereignty and restore the authority of the State. We learn that a new convoy of 40 vehicles left this morning #Gao and is heading towards #Kidal . It is camped this evening 30 km from Gao. There are 4 armoured personnel carriers in the lot, aboard which are mercenaries from #Wagner . An armoured vehicle that can transport 10 elements, we can estimate that there are in total between 35 and 40 Russians mobilised. The #FAMA incorporated, for their part, come from the force #Takoubakoye made up of soldiers trained by the Europeans and the elements of the MOC, operational coordination mechanism. According to a military source in Gao, the convoy's mission is to supply the troops deployed in Kidal and to consolidate their position, which has been weakened after the heavy defeat they suffered recently. Other sources indicate that this is rather yet another deployment aimed at organizing a response, reprisals to wash away the monumental affront of Tinzawaten and avenge the junta determined to regain control of this lost territory. The convoy, from #Anefis , must go back up to #Aguelok to try to reach Tinzawaten which is easier to access via Aguelok than via Kidal. Let's wait and see what happens next for this new expedition by the Malian Army, which is acting superficially and getting bogged down in an asymmetric war against well-established armed groups determined to defend their positions and conquered territories.
