#Nigeria 🇳🇬 | On 01/09 at around 4pm, nearly 150 heavily armed terrorists from #Boko_Haram attacked the village of #Mafa ( #Yobe ) and surrounding villages. The toll is very high. 🔴 127 villagers were killed. The toll is still provisional because many victims had already been buried when the authorities arrived. 🔵 Many homes and businesses were looted and burned. 🔹 The terrorists are said to have attacked the village in retaliation for the execution of two of its fighters by the village militias a few days earlier. ⚠️ Boko Haram terrorists whose bases are mainly in #Borno state are in a territorial conflict with terrorists from #ISWAP and are seeking to expand west into Yobe state and east into #Cameroun 🇨🇲 state.
