Air Delivered event in Burkina Faso on Fri 30th August 2024

#Burkina 🇧🇫 | On 30/08 at around 11:00, more than 100 Ansarul Islam terrorists ( #JNIM ) attacked a checkpoint of #FDS to #Aoréma ( #Yatenga , #Nord ). The camp was temporarily occupied by the terrorists. 🔴 Nearly 15 #FDS and #VDP were killed and nearly 10 soldiers were injured and evacuated to the CHUR of #Ouahigouya . 🔵 The camp was looted. An armed 4x4 vehicle and about twenty assault weapons were stolen. ⚫️ During the response using aerial vectors and the ground sweep, nearly 10 terrorists were neutralized. 🔹 The #JNIM quickly claimed responsibility for the attack. ⚠️ The Ansarul Islam terrorists, who carried out the attack on #Barsalogho on 24/08, are looking for weapons and vehicles. Unlike the Katiba Hanifa, which amassed impressive loot with the attacks on #Boni ( #Niger 🇳🇪 ) on 20/05, #Mansila on 11/06, #Partiaga on 30/06 and #Boungou on 8/08, Ansarul Islam is no longer able to field as many armored vehicles and armed men during these attacks. The last major attack involving hundreds of Ansarul Islam terrorists was the attack on #Djibo on 26/11/2023 and the latter ended in failure for this terrorist group and a victory for the #FDS .
